The hotel was nice, with wonderful location in the centre of town. I thoroughly enjoyed courteous staff with good manners. The service was welcoming during all my nice stay. Could use their overnight parking.

The hotel is beautiful, with fine traditional decor and a cozy atmosphere. Our four-poster room offered clean, sweet-smelling bedding and extra amenities like bathrobes and tea-making facilities.

It was an appropriate option for a relaxing holiday in Bakewell with good value. The breakfast was fantastic and a great way to start the day. Consider arriving with a flexible schedule as parking can be a bit tricky.

We had a lovely time enjoying the beautiful garden, which was perfect for relaxing with a book, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice touch too. It was a charming experience, and I'd definitely recommend taking advantage of the outdoor space! 🌼

Comfortable Stay with Room for Improvement

The staff could enhance their hospitality, as some interactions felt lukewarm. Dining options nearby were a plus, though we didn't try the hotel's food due to mixed reviews. Be prepared for early pub closing hours.

The decor is charming and inviting, perfectly blending traditional features with modern comfort. The accessible pathways make it easy for all guests, especially seniors, to enjoy the lovely surroundings without any hassle.

More seating options for relaxation would be appreciated.

Comfy stay with nice views

We had a pretty good time for 2 nights! The bed was super comfy and who doesn't love having Sky TV? Location was spot on, right near some nice spots. Only issue was the dining area felt a bit cramped when we went for breakfast.

Room was clean and nicely decorated, but very small for the price.

Charming, Charming, Charming

I stayed in a Superior Double Room En Suite, and it was a perfect blend of old-world charm with modern comfort! The spacious room had plenty of natural light, a cozy bed that was like a hug, and a refreshing electric shower that was a real treat after a day of exploring. The pub's decor radiated distinct character, especially with their generous portions of homemade food, like steak & stilton pie!

The food at the Peacock was quite good, with generous portions and appealing presentation. The service left something to be desired, as the staff seemed overwhelmed and one gentleman at the bar was notably unfriendly. A nice atmosphere but marred by some inconsistent service.

Our room was spacious and cozy, with a lovely view. The real ale was great and the pub atmosphere was good.

The stay was mostly enjoyable, with a beautiful location and a clean, comfortable room. there were issues with the bed setup that made sleeping uncomfortable, as well as a lack of facilities for hanging clothes. It's unfortunate that breakfast wasn't available, especially considering the price we paid. it's a lovely area to explore, but it could use some improvements in the room amenities.
